Langstaff-Ellis ltd now boast a fully comprehensive painting and decorating service from our Oxfordshire workshop. Whether you are rejuvenating a tired room or you wish for us to decorate a new piece of furniture, our staff will complete the task to the highest standards.

At home…

This service includes painting and decorating individual rooms, new extensions, interior and exterior woodwork. Many of the our clients who use our joinery department will ask us to finish not only the woodwork but the decoration too. This is an excellent way of making sure the disruption of a project is minimised.

Exterior timber…

Most wood-work outside of the home requires paint for protection. Timber is an excellent natural product but its life can be compromised with poor maintenance. Poor decoration is the nearly always responsible for water ingress into your timber joinery. If renovation is needed, our carpenters will repair your timber window or door and then our decorators will re-paint it, giving it years of extra service. It’s far easier and more cost-effective to maintain your decoration at regular intervals and by doing so, you can avoid more involved repairs.

In the workshop…

Following the manufacture of your new piece of wood-work, our Oxfordshire-based craftsman will either spray-paint or hand-paint your project to the finish you require. Doors, windows and free-standing furniture can all be finished before delivery to the site. Spray-painting a window or door during the manufacturing process will often save time and money as it can be a much faster way of coating a product with paint. The clean, streak-free finish that spray painting achieves is not for everyone, many people, especially those who own more traditional homes, ask for hand-brushed decoration. This is more in keeping with the way things used to be and can create a fantastic ‘hand-crafted’ apperance.
